Through my art I have explored many industrial sites in Sydney that were off limits to the public - Cockatoo Island; Eveleigh Railway Workshops; industrial sites such as Pyrmont and the old AGL Gasworks at Mortlake; the wharves of Barangaroo, Woolloomooloo, Walsh Bay, Glebe Island and White Bay.

JANE BENNETT - Eveleigh Open Days16 & 17 May 2014 Sydney's most active historical Plein Air artist has once again been invited to participate in this year's Eveleigh Open Days.
As part of the National Trust's Heritage Festival, the Australian Technology Park is hosting an exciting group of heritage events on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May 2014.
Jane has been invited to exhibit her paintings of the blacksmiths of Wrought Artworks in Bay 1 / 2 North on the very site on which they were painted. There will be heritage carriages, displayed near Channel 7 by the volunteers from 3801 limited, and Jane will also exhibit a selection of her paintings of the steam trains of the Large Erecting Shop nearby.
The Master Blacksmith Guido Gouvernor will give a spect-acular demonstration of forging using the massive Victorian era heritage power hammers. As well as an exhibition of her work, Jane will also give a live painting demonstration of the blacksmiths forging all day on Friday 16th May.
