    2019 - BAINES

    Print V Pixels

    Exhibition dates: 23 July - 11 August 2019
    Opening: Tuesday 23 July, 6 - 8pm

Last year, my Mum died. My muse a tiny Italian greyhound called Fern died and my dad developed dementia.

A tough year emotionally.I used to talk to my Dad about politics, life death, the big picture, but now he struggles to string a sentence together. I always jokingly promised to my Mum I would invite her to Government house when I received my O.M.

For months, I ambled along the local beaches feeling lost and pined for my past.

Finally from despair came a positive.

In my latest exhibition, I've taken my suited man and placed him in solitude so he can reflect on his life and try to make sense of it. I use lighthouses, beaches, jetties & long shadows to create a narrative about life and purpose.

I believe now my work has more substance and I have grown emotionally.

Make today one of tomorrow’s good old days!
