My work relates to the environment in which I live and the places I have been fortunate enough to visit. For the past 27 years I have lived on the Hawkesbury River. Regular crossing of the river, from the island to the mainland, exposes one to its varied moods and colours. The play of light on the water surface, the ebb and flow of tides and currents, the calligraphic lines of bridges, hulls and rigging. These are among the experiences that continue to fascinate and influence my work.
