Throughout most of my painting life and career l painted in the 'earth' colours, my paintings were almost always architectural studies with much ochre and umber and Payne's Grey and the warm blues - and always with a hint of mystery in them.
A life-changing experience paused my painting. When l got back to my easel again......l began a series of works of flowers in a pop art style - primary colours, in-your-face design, clear definition. A JOY to paint!
And the joy of sculpting! In whatever material. My upcoming exhibition will display my work in bronze - to quote, the prince of metals. It permits the sculptor's clay model to be replicated in its finest detail and then to be polished and coloured to perfection.
